Fundraising will be the order of the day Specsavers in Cowley on Saturday 9 July, as the store shows its support for UK charity, Leukaemia Care.
Fun filled fundraising
The store has organised a day full of activities to raise essential funds, including a cake sale, a raffle and face painting. Various games will also be running throughout the day. Customers will be invited to match old and current photos of the Cowley team with a prize for the person who gets the most correct, take part in a lucky dip, or be entered into a calendar prize draw by buying a day of the year for £1.
Store director Jason Komodikis says: ‘We’ve got a fantastic day of fundraising planned. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained and a range of treats for our customers to enjoy so we’re hoping for a great fundraising total!
‘Many of our staff have been affected by Leukaemia, some personally and others through close friends and relatives. The work the charity does is fantastic and they support thousands of people across the country from diagnosis to recovery. We hope to see lots of people in store at the weekend to help us raise as much money as possible for this great charity.’
Leukaemia Care is a national charity that provides care advice and support to those affected by blood cancers such as lymphoma or myeloma. The organisation offer a 24-hour care line, patient information and support groups around the country.
