Sebastian de Scarfo, audiology director at Specsavers Cowley, has marked 10 years of service with the business.
Having previously worked at Specsavers in Solihull and Nuneaton as a hearing aid dispenser, Sebastian joined the Cowley store in June 2009. Less than a year later, in April 2010, he became a director at the store, a role he still holds today.
‘Time certainly does fly!’ said Sebastian. ‘It’s great to be celebrating ten years at Specsavers and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the store here in Cowley. Things have changed quite a lot in that period, we’re busier than ever and the advances that have been made in hearing aids are amazing; they’re more like wearable tech now than a medical device.
‘It’s obviously been a challenging time in recent months, nothing like anything any of us have ever experienced before. We had to adapt and continue to have to work in a different way, but we are proud to have been able to continue offering help to those who needed it during lockdown. It’s nice to be able to celebrate a milestone and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next ten years brings.’
