Specsavers in Coventry has helped children to be seen more easily this winter by donating high-visibility.

The team donated a total of 200 vests to local Brownie groups and also helped the youngsters achieve their Road Safety badges.

‘We’re really proud to have made this donation to the local Brownie groups, helping children to be seen more easily on the roads now that the nights have drawn in,’ said Alistair Campbell, store director.

Hitesh Solanki, also a director at the store, said: ‘Our optical assistants Braden and Rachel also went along to one of the group’s meetings to help the girls achieve their Road Safety badges.’

The store’s donation forms part of Specsavers’ support – as a co-sponsor – of Road Safety Week. The annual event, which is organised by Brake, is an opportunity to inspire communities to take action on road safety and raise awareness of life-saving messages.
