Specsavers in Colchester focused their efforts on fundraising this Halloween to raise vital funds for Help for Heroes.
Staff from Specsavers, located at 17/33 Long Wyre Street, swapped their uniforms for spooky costumes and hosted a special kids day last week to raise over £200 for the charity. Activities on the day included face painting and a movie marathon as the local community showed their support for the special day.
Store director, Nick Hagen says: ‘Help for Heroes is a charity close to our hearts and one which we have supported in the past. We hope our donations will help the charity continue the outstanding work it does.
‘I would also like to thank our customers for their continued generosity. With Christmas on the horizon I know it can be an expensive time of year so I am extremely grateful to them for helping us to raise such a sizeable amount.’
