The team at a local opticians is celebrating a year of being in their new premises on Coatbridge Main Street.
Staff at Specsavers Coatbridge have served 15,000 customers since relocating to a larger store in April 2016. The directors invested £500,000 in the new store, which created six new jobs.
Celebrations were held in store for the team and customers with a large birthday cake to mark the occasion.
Investment in Coatbridge
Andrew McGonagle, Specsavers store director, said: ‘I can’t quite believe that a full year has passed since our relocation.
‘Considerable improvements were made to the store, which were largely based on customer feedback, and we are thrilled to have served such a high volume of customers in our local community during the last 12 months.
‘I hope the investment in Coatbridge will continue to improve our customers’ experience and encourage more people to visit us regularly.’
The relocation has allowed the store to treble the size of its ground floor, making it more accessible to customers and enabling more extensive services to be provided.
The new store has two extra test rooms, which all have the latest technology and equipment. One of the new test rooms has been soundproofed and fitted with state-of-the-art audiology equipment for the store’s hearing service, which was launched after the relocation.
In addition, with vastly increased floor space, Specsavers Coatbridge is able to display a wider variety of glasses from all ranges, including its designer collections, giving visitors a better selection of specs to choose from.
