A three dimensional design by a young girl from Coatbridge has been crowned the winner of a colouring competition inspired the new Disney movie, Finding Dory.
Kaitlin Jeffery, 12, who attends St Bartholomew’s Primary, recently visited Specsavers in Main Street to collect her prize after being picked as the winner from 60 entrants in the competition inspired by a new range of kids’ glasses based on the film. Kaitlin won a cuddly Dory toy, sweets, popcorn and a gift card for Showcase Cinemas.
Store director Andrew McGonagle was delighted with the great response to the competition.
‘We received entries from Daisy Day Care, Ourzone out-of-school care and Preschool Academy as well as from children who visited the store for their regular checks.
‘It was incredibly difficult to pick a winner but Kaitlin’s design stood out to us with its bright colours and its unique movable fin.’
Customers and passers-by can view the colourful Finding Dory designs at the opticians as all the entries are on display in the store.
