A local mum has won fantastic Mother’s Day gifts after her son submitted a letter to a competition run by opticians in Airdrie and Coatbridge.
Theresa Milliken from Coatbridge won the competition, which was arranged by Specsavers.
Specsavers in Coatbridge encouraged youngsters to nominate their mum to win a variety of well-deserved gifts and pampering treatments to make this Mother’s Day extra special.

Aaron Milliken, aged 11, wrote the winning letter to his local opticians listing all the wonderful qualities of his mum and why she deserved to win the prize.
The lucky winning mum popped into Specsavers recently to pick up her selection of gifts.
The prize included a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Occasions and free designer glasses from Specsavers as well as a blow dry at Strawberry Blonde, a £20 gift voucher from Pretty Woman and lunch for two at the Craft Centre Tearoom.
