Rainbows Children’s Hospice was the focus of a fundraising event at Specsavers in Coalville on Wednesday 11 July.
The day-long event included face painting; a football sweepstake; a chance to guess the number of sweets in the jar; and donations taken in return for specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments). The team also dressed in England football shirts.
A word from the store director
Store director Shailan Ruparelia said: ‘We are delighted to have raised £128 for Rainbows Children’s Hospice. Rainbows is a fantastic place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support.’
Rainbows Children’s Hospice opened its doors in 1994 and is the only hospice for life-limited children and young people in the East Midlands. Working to improve children’s quality of life, the dedicated team also supports families through their bereavements.
