The team at Specsavers in Coalville celebrated the store’s 20th anniversary on Saturday 24 January with a spec-tacular charity fun day.
Specsavers opticians were joined by a quadruped stilt walker to entertain visitors and help raise funds for Rainbows Children’s Hospice. In return for charity donations, younger customers could have their faces painted and watch balloon models come to life.
To mark its anniversary, the store celebrated with a special birthday cake and customers enjoyed cupcakes for just a 50p donation. They also held a raffle, with the chance of winning one of three pairs of specs, each up to the value of £125 with single vision lenses.
‘It’s wonderful to be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year,’ said Shailan Ruperalia, store director at Specsavers in Coalville. ‘Our success is testament to the commitment of our team and, of course, our customers.
‘Over the years, we have remained true to our values, ensuring we offer our customers excellent service every time they visit. We’re now looking forward to the next 20 years serving our local community.’
As a staple part of the community, Specsavers opens its doors seven days a week.
