Staff at Specsavers in Clydebank raised £140 for charity in memory of a much-missed mum.
Dispensing assistant Lee-Anne McGown’s mum Julie sadly passed away in November after being cared for in St Margaret’s Hospice.
To pay tribute to Julie and to say thank you to the hospice for the help and support it offered Julie and her family before she passed away, staff donated money in exchange for wearing their Christmas jumpers on Friday 16 December.
Customers who were in the store on the day for appointments also got the chance to pop money in the collection tin.
Specsavers Clydebank store director Charles Kinsey says: ‘St Margaret’s Hospice is a fantastic charity which provides support to families at a very challenging time.
‘We’re very proud to have been involved in raising money for the cause and in paying tribute to Lee-Anne’s mum Julie.
‘The team enjoyed wearing their Christmas jumpers and we got a lot of smiles and laughs from customers.’
Lee-Anne adds, ‘Thank you so much to all of the staff. It was a lovely tribute to my mum.’
