Specsavers Clydebank is getting ready to welcome guide dogs to the store in a day of fundraising this weekend.
The opticians in the Clyde Shopping Centre will host a charity collection day for Guide Dogs Scotland on Saturday 23 January, from 11am.
Customers will get the chance to come in and see the dogs and speak to their handlers about the work of the organisation.
Raising awareness for a great charity
The event is aimed at generating funds for the charity, and to make customers aware of all the hard work that goes into training the dogs so they can improve the lives of people with sight problems.
Specsavers Clydebank store director Charles Kinsey said: ‘Guide Dogs Scotland does a lot of fantastic work in the community. We are delighted that we’re going to have walkers and dogs in the store to raise awareness.
‘We hope that customers will come along on the day to donate to the cause and to find out about the amazing work that’s done in local communities like ours.’
