Specsavers is supporting the launch of a community initiative to help put the sparkle back into Clevedon.
Getting behind Clevedon Pride’s Pick Up Your Litter campaign, the team will be hoping to inspire local people to come together to pick up litter and transform the appearance of their community.
‘In many towns litter can be a big problem, but with the support of local people we’ll be able to keep Clevedon clean,’ said Emma Perrigo, store director at Specsavers in Clevedon. ‘Something as simple as picking up litter can go a long way to making a lasting change in the community and, as a local business, we’re very proud to be supporting the launch of this campaign.’
As part of the initiative, the store will also provide a 12-month supply of bin bags to local voluntary group, Clevedon Pride, which aims to improve the town’s appearance.
Emma added: ‘With the local Morrisons store closing its doors soon, people will notice a big change in the community, but hopefully this campaign will help to bring people together and inspire a sense of community spirit locally.’
The Pick Up Your Litter campaign launches this month and people wishing to get involved can do so, either individually or as part of a group, by contacting Clevedon Pride for more details.
