Specsavers in Clevedon honed their best Mary Berry baking skills for Red Nose Day on Friday 24 March as they hosted their own bake sale, raising £65 for Comic Relief.
Sweet treats for donations
The team baked a range of sweet treats, which were on offer in store in exchange for donations towards the cause.
Dressing down for charity
Alongside the bake sale, staff sported red for the day, and sold the official Red Nose Day comedy specs. All money raised will be donated to Comic Relief.
Anyone who bought the specs was also encouraged to strike a pose with their glasses and post the picture on social media using #GiveUsAWave to receive their own wave back.
A word from the store director
Emma Perrigo, store director said: ‘It was great to be involved in the Red Nose Day activity, and the comedy specs flew off the shelves.
‘The cake sale instilled some healthy baking rivalry in-store and there were some top notch baked goods on the day. Lots of people came along to enjoy a slice of cake and helped us with our efforts in raising so thank you very much.’
