Staff from a Clapham opticians are going canine-crazy for Guide Dogs Week with a visit from a furry friend and a range of activities in store.

Specsavers in Clapham Junction is hosting a main fundraising event on Friday 10 October, with the chance for people to come and say hello to a guide dog and talk to a local guide dog owner about eye health.

The store will be raising money for the charity throughout the week from Saturday 4 October to raise as much as possible for the cause.

Retail director at Specsavers in Clapham Junction, Millie Bryant, says: ‘We’re determined to raise as much money as possible for Guide Dogs for the Blind during our fundraising week.

‘It is so important to raise awareness of the fantastic work that Guide Dogs do, and to highlight to the local community just how big a role these dogs play in improving the lives of those who are visually impaired.’

Guide Dogs Week Specsavers in Clapham Junction will be fundraising for Guide Dogs from Saturday 4 October to Saturday 11 October, with their main fundraising event from 11.30 until 14.30 on the 10 October.
