Clacton-on-Sea opticians invited lots of little helpers into the store to help raise awareness for Comic Relief last week.

Gnome takeover

The opticians staged a gnome takeover and let the little magical creatures run wild all over the shop floor while donning pairs of the Red Nose Day specs. From standing outside and waving to passers-by, to experimenting in the optical lab and having their eyes examined - the gnomes took charge of the store for the day.

Staff and customers both had a giggle taking snaps with the little fellas – who were on hand to sell the remaining whacky Red Nose Day glasses.

Selling specs

Stuart Moir, store director at Specsavers Clacton-on-Sea says: ‘We wanted to sell as many Comic Relief specs as possible so we got a few extra helpers in store to lend a hand for the day!

‘Everyone had great time posing for pictures with the gnomes, and we even got some of the gnomes to model the stylish specs. ‘The whole team had so much fun, and of course, we’re proud to raise money for such a good cause like Red Nose Day 2017.’
