The team at Specsavers in Clacton visited Engaines Primary School at their summer school fete to engage with their local community and to promote prescription swimming goggles.

Throughout the day, Tina Block and Helen Ward, staff members at Specsavers in Clacton, offered free glasses cleaning and freebies to the children, together with a prize draw of a pair of prescription swimming goggles.

A word from the director

Lee Siang Holcombe, store director at Specsavers in Clacton, said: ‘It was a thoroughly enjoyable day. We are always keen to support our local community and we enjoy being involved with local schools.

‘We really wanted to raise awareness on the importance of wearing prescription swimming goggles. Kids who need glasses and regularly participate in sporting activities need to ensure they wear the most suitable corrective eyewear for the sport they are taking part in and swimming should be no exception.’
