Paul Dundas, store manager at Specsavers in Cirencester, was invited to speak to pupils at Crowdys Hill School in Swindon as part of their careers week.
A special school for pupils aged 5-19 with complex needs, all 226 students are given the opportunity to flourish and grow in a supportive and aspirational environment.
Focusing on his role at the store as well as retail more generally, Paul chatted to pupils about the skills and qualifications they might need.
A word from the store director
‘I really enjoyed the session,’ said Paul. ‘The students were really passionate and had some great questions about how to apply for jobs, going to interviews and the skills they might need to help them in the future. A career in optics is something that many youngsters might not have considered so hopefully I was able to help give them more of an insight.’
