The team from Specsavers in Cirencester marked Wear A Hat Day by raising £60 for Brain Tumour Research.
Fun hats for a good cause
Store director, Kelly-Anne Nelson, said: ‘We’re always keen to get involved when it comes to fundraising events. We had great fun wearing hats and are delighted to have raised funds for Brain Tumour Research, enabling the charity to continue with its research.’
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
‘Eye tests are more than prescription checks as underlying conditions can be picked up, including brain tumours,’ continued Kelly-Anne. ‘This is why we recommend everyone has an eye test once every two years, even if you don’t wear specs.’
