Children in Chiswick received high-visibility vests from their local Specsavers store to encourage them to look out for each other on the roads at night.
Bright vests for bright-eyed kids
The vests were given to every child that came into the store for a sight test during Road Safety Week, an initiative by the charity Brake.
Store director at Specsavers Chiswick, Irfan Akhtar, said: ‘We want to make sure that children are visible to drivers at night, especially in the run up to Christmas when more people are likely to be out and about.
‘We hope to help put parents’ minds at ease over the festive period with these vests.’
Brake is a national road safety charity which exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily basis.
