Specsavers is sponsoring Chippenham Rugby Club this season, helping players to keep their eyes on the ball.
As the club’s Gold Sponsor, the store will provide every first XV player with a free sight test, ensuring their vision is in tip top condition. Players Mike Beswick and Matt Whitehead visited the store on Monday (30 September) for their sight tests, giving the team the chance to see this season’s kit which features the Specsavers logo.
‘We’re really proud to be supporting the rugby club for a fourth year,’ said Michael Thompson, store director. ‘The club is very well established in the community and provides great opportunities for local people to get involved in sports.
‘Once again this year we’ll be offering each of the players a free sight test, and we really enjoyed having Matt and Mike visit us.’
Ian Beswick, club chairman, said: ‘We’re delighted to have Specsavers as one of our sponsors again this year. They’ve been supporting us for four years now and we really value having them on board.’
Chippenham Rugby Club plays at Allington Field in the National League Three South West Division, with players hailing predominantly from the local area. As a community club, it proudly supports youngsters as part of its development squad and is committed to offering people of all ages opportunities to get involved in tag, touch and full contact variations of the game.
