Staff at Chippenham Specsavers are celebrating after being nominated for a prestigious industry award.
Shortlisted in the Multiple Practice of the Year category for this year’s Optician Awards, the store is one of three opticians in the running. The winner will be announced at a gala dinner on Saturday 9 April, which will be held at Birmingham’s Vox Conference Centre.
As well as looking at how the store stands out from its national counterparts, judges will also want to see evidence of the clinical, commercial and community success of the opticians.
‘We pride ourselves on delivering great service and playing our part in the local community, so it’s wonderful to be recognised for our work and we’re delighted to be representing Specsavers on a national stage,’ said Mike Thompson, store director. ‘Customers have come to expect a high level of service when they visit us and it’s thanks to the commitment of our team that we’re able to meet or even exceed those expectations.
The Optician Awards – organised by national trade magazine, Optician – have been running for more than 15 years and recognise the work of opticians across the UK in 16 categories. The awards evening will also play host to several fundraising events, raising money for Blind Veterans UK.
