Specsavers in Chichester has been thanked for putting an ‘anxious’ young customer at ease during an eye examination.
A Chichester resident praised staff for their ‘patience and understanding’ while testing the eyes of her son Damon, who is autistic.
She said: ‘The young lady on the retinoscope was fantastic, giving my son the time and space to have this test done as he was really anxious about this examination – she was really great.
‘I would also like to thank Julia Muraszczuk, who was so understanding of Damon’s anxiety and went over and above to help us. You have a brilliant team at Chichester and are an example to others when dealing with people on the autistic spectrum.’
