Staff at Specsavers in Cheylesmore are championing road safety in the local community by donating high-visibility vests to local schools.
With the winter months bringing darker evenings, the team are donating vests to help ensure pupils are seen when out and about.
They have distributed nearly 250 vests to children, including to pupils at local school, Holbrooks Primary School.
A word from the store director
Store director, Alistair Campbell said: ‘We are committed to helping the community stay safer when out and about – anything that helps educate young people about road safety or to make them more visible, especially to drivers, is invaluable.
'We hope that these vests will come in useful when children are going to and from school, clubs and on outings.’
