Specsavers Chesham manager Inderjeet Singhota selflessly gave his time over the Christmas break to give the gift of sight to those most in need over the festive period, volunteering for Vision Care for Homeless People.

What is Vision Care for Homeless People?

Vision Care for Homeless People is a charity which provides eye care services to homeless and other vulnerable people who are unable to access services on the high street, in an accessible and friendly environment. During December, the charity teamed up with Crisis at Christmas, and Inderjeet, who is a qualified optometrist, volunteered his time as part of the optician’s team, offering his clinical skills to those using the service.

What Inderjeet had to say

‘I had a fantastic time assisting at Crisis at Christmas and it was humbling to work amongst so many great volunteers and be of service to those in need. This is a photo from Boxing Day with one of my patients who was able to have his eyes tested and received distance and reading glasses free of charge.’

Truly inspiring work Inderjeet and team Chesham!
