Specsavers Cheltenham has been nominated for a Local Business Charity Award in recognition of their fundraising efforts for Carers Gloucestershire; an independent charity offering support for unpaid carers in Gloucestershire.
Earlier in the year, the Specsavers team set up a stand in store to raise awareness and funds for the charity and more recently Amanda Ellis, audiology director, and her team funded production of the charity’s administration packs.
A word from the PR co-ordinator
Emily Ashman, the store’s PR co-ordinator commented; ‘We are delighted to have been nominated for this award. It is really important to the team to support local charities and Carers Gloucestershire is a fantastic cause.’
The finalists will be announced on 13 August 2018. The lucky few will then be invited along to the grand final on 6 September where the winner will receive a weekend break worth £300.
‘We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed we make it through to the final,’ said Amanda.
