A group from the Specsavers Hearing Centre in Cheltenham was treated to a tour of The Everyman Theatre as part of the store’s year-long sponsorship deal with the popular local venue.
The store is one of a number of local businesses lending its support and helping to ensure the theatre is able to continue to show the range of productions it has become so well known for.
As Gloucestershire’s main professional theatre, The Everyman is also a cultural hub for the county, supporting a range of community groups and projects, involving schools and colleges to care homes and day centres.
‘It was great to be able to see behind the scenes, we all really enjoyed the tour,’ said hearcare director, Amanda Ellis. ‘The sponsorship is just one part of the important role we feel we can play in supporting the local community.
'We’re thrilled to be able to support The Everyman, not only so it can continue to show wonderful performances, but also continue with its community and educational projects.’
‘It’s great to have the support of the Specsavers Hearing Centre in Cheltenham,’ said Francesca Goddard, corporate and sponsorship manager at The Everyman. ‘Not many people know we are a registered charity and while the majority of income comes from box office sales, the rest has to be found from other sources.
'We’re hugely grateful as it will allow us to continue to provide top quality entertainment and expand the range of arts provision for the local community.’
