Chelmsley Wood Specsavers has been shortlisted in this year’s Opticians Awards in the Multiple Practice of the Year category.
Second year in a row
After winning the Contact Lens Engagement category for 2016, the store is thrilled to be in the mix for a second year in a row. To win the Multiple Practice of the Year category, the store needs to demonstrate evidence of eyecare excellence, great team work and how being part of a chain makes a difference.
Judges will be looking to understand the character of the practice and processes in place to serve customers, as well as delving into the clinical, commercial and community success of the store.
A word from the store director
‘To be shortlisted in this category is absolutely brilliant,’ says store director, Sukhwant Drake. ‘Our team work really hard to ensure we are offering an excellent customer experience time and time again, so this nomination is testament to the hard work we put in.’
The store has also been involved in plenty of community engagement over the past year, including donating care packs to the local homeless community and raising funds for a number of charities such as the Royal National Institute of Blind people, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan.
‘We were so proud to win an Opticians Award last year, so fingers crossed we can add another this year!’
The Optician Awards – organised by national trade magazine, Optician – have been running for more than 15 years and recognise the work of opticians across the UK in 16 categories.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Birmingham on Saturday 1 April.
