Visitors to Specsavers in Chelmsley Wood were treated to a spec-tacle of fundraising as the team held a party day in store, raising £80 for Comic Relief.
Staff got behind the Comic Relief cause by ditching their uniforms in favour of red clothes, running a ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ competition and hosting a bake sale.
Sukhwant Drake, store director at Specsavers in Chelmsley Wood said: ‘This was a great day for all involved and we’re delighted to have supported Comic Relief – thanks to everyone who made a donation.’
Specsavers in Chelmsley Wood has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
