Specsavers in Chelmsford is celebrating achieving a Platinum Employer award. The accolade is given to stores for a marked dedication to developing work skills and improving the communication of its staff members.
Five key areas of business standards are externally assessed - these include aspects such as performance management, learning and development, and recruitment and induction.
Working above and beyond
Retail manager at Specsavers in Chelmsford, Megan Hodges, said: ‘We have a brilliant team here at the store who are always willing to work above and beyond for our customers.
‘We are always striving to improve best practice here as well as provide career opportunities for staff. We’re really pleased to have been awarded Platinum Employer.
A career path for the future
Megan is just one of the team who has worked at the local opticians and hearing specialist since she did work experience while still at school. Also in that group are directors Elin and Sam, and dispensing optician Vickie.
Platinum Employer is an initiative set up to help Specsavers stores maintain high standards and provide a greater experience for their employees.
