Specsavers in Chatham managed to sell 450 Comic Relief frames, thanks to the engagement of staff and the help of the local community - raising £900 for the charity.
The team built an impressive ‘telephone box’, which was placed in store for customers to take pictures in. Props were also made available for those who wanted to make their photos extra special.
On Red Nose Day, the staff all wore something red and encouraged the customers to buy a pair of Comic Relief glasses and take pictures inside the telephone box.
A word from the director
Punit Patel, store director of Specsavers in Chatham, says: ‘Comic Relief is a charity the whole team is dedicated to and passionate about. The charity is dedicated to improving the lives of many people worldwide and we are glad we played a part, however small, in supporting its great work.
‘It was fundamental for us to find an activity that was at the same time entertaining and engaging. We loved the idea of having a photo booth and props in store and we are glad our customers enjoyed it as much as we did!’
