First visit to Specsavers

'As a creature of habit I have visited a rival opticians several times in the past. Today I went to my usual opticians and their initial customer service was unusually substandard. I tried to arrange an eye test and there was no availability for 9 days. I have a concern about my eyes and wanted to be looked at as soon as possible.

'Reluctantly I went against my creature of habit instinct and walked into the Specsavers branch in Caterham, Surrey.

Respectfully greeted

'As soon as I entered the store I was respectfully greeted. The most helpful member of staff booked me for an eye test later that afternoon. I returned as arranged and again respectfully greeted and went for initial tests with a member of staff.

'She explained exact procedures and continually told me what she was doing and why.


'I then met the optometrist. I felt that he had all the time in the world for me. He took his time, repeated procedures when I wasn't sure of the answer straight away and he was the utmost professional. He totally reassured me and gave me plenty of well informed advice. There were no pushy sales tactics just an honest diagnosis that left me feeling totally reassured.

'I'd like to add that the equipment used was so more technically advanced than my usual opticians. I experienced such great and dedicated service today that I find it neccesary to write this positive feedback. Without doubt I will return to this store in the future and please excuse the corny line but previously ' I should have gone to Specsavers'.
