Specsavers in Carlisle has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Red Nose Day 2015, to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa by selling bright red oversized, comedy glasses with hair raising eyebrows to customers.
Visitors to the Castle Street store, can follow in the footsteps of celebrities, including Gok Wan, and make their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses in small and large sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Glenn Rowe, store director said: ‘We’re all set to make our faces funny for money in support of the great work that Comic Relief does. We want to encourage everyone, young and old, to join in the fun and buy their Red Nose Day glasses!’
The store hosted a non-uniform day on Friday 13 February to mark the start of the campaign. All staff will also donate two pounds to the charity and customers were given the chance to receive a glasses MOT by donating one pound to the cause.
On Wednesday 18 February staff participated in a Comic Relief quiz to raise additional funds.
