Staff from Specsavers on Queen Street, Cardiff spent a day completing vision and hearing screenings at Cardiff City FC’s second annual health day.
More than 100 Cardiff City FC fans spoke to Specsavers staff during the day about the importance of looking after eye and ear health.
The purpose of the event was to encourage fans to engage with the range of businesses and community-based organisations in attendance to discuss any questions they had about their health.
Nicola Edwards, store manager, said, ‘At Specsavers, we’re always keen to talk to our customers and members of the community about the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle, which made this event a perfect fit for us.
‘Not only did we offer vison and screening tests, we also gave away vouchers for a free, comprehensive sight test at our store as well as gifts for the fans.
‘By giving away sight test vouchers we hope that the people we met will be encouraged to think about their eye health outside of the football stadium and pay us a visit. We recommend that adults have a sight test every two years and more frequently if you’re experiencing changes or problems with your vision.’
