Staff at Specsavers on Queen Street have shown their support for the triumphant Wales Deaf rugby side when the team faced its English rival at Cardiff Arms Park.
The clash for the Broadstreet Cup saw Wales outscore the English team by five tries to one to reach a final score of 34 – 10.
Staff from the Queen Street store were on hand to cheer on the team and to give out leaflets about Specsavers’ services to other spectators.
Specsavers has recently renewed its three-year sponsorship deal with Wales Deaf Rugby Union (WDRU), in a deal worth £15,000, and is the official provider of audiology testing as well as kit sponsor.
Frank Moloney, director at Specsavers on Queen Street, Cardiff, said: ‘We’re delighted for the victorious Welsh squad – it was an excellent performance that saw them walk away with the coveted Broadstreet Cup.
‘Specsavers is a proud sponsor of WDRU and it was great for some of the team to have a presence at Cardiff Arms Park to show our support for the team and spread the message about our optical and audiology services.’
