Cardiff City manager, Neil Warnock, was welcomed to the Queen Street store by staff as he visited for an eye test.

Official eyecare providers

The former winger, who has managed teams including Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers over the last 35 years, spoke with staff members.

This included retail manager, Kenny Hall, who discussed options for new frames after his sight test. Specsavers’ four stores in Cardiff are the official eyecare providers to Cardiff City Football Club.

Team members, including striker Rickie Lambert, have visited in the past, and Specsavers has taken part in events at the Cardiff City Stadium to promote eye health to local residents and the team.

‘Full sight of the football pitch’

‘For Neil to get the best out of his team he needs to have full sight of the football pitch during a match, so it’s vital for his job that his eye health is in top condition,’ says store director, James Deavall.

‘By visiting our store for an eye test, it shows that he is aware of the importance of eye health and regular sight check-ups.

‘It was great welcoming Neil to the store and we would advise everyone who doesn’t already to make sure they have a sight test at least every two years.’
