Two staff members at Specsavers in Canvey Island are studying at City and Islington University to become the team’s newest dispensing opticians.
Loves working with the public
Assistant manager Adele Lejeune started working as on a Saturday in 2008, while she was still in college. The 27-year-old from Basildon loves working with the public and decided two years ago to begin the course to become a dispensing optician. She will complete her training in August.
Also on the course is 22-year-old supervisor Danielle Saunders. The Benfleet resident began her career in optics on Saturdays over three years ago, while working for a beauticians. She has always enjoyed customer service and been interested in working in healthcare. Danielle is looking forward to progressing to become a D.O. once her course is completed in summer 2019.
Fantastic members of the team
Store director at Specsavers in Canvey Island, Jemma Paynter said: ‘Adele and Danielle are both fantastic members of the team and they are going to make fantastic D.O’s.’
In their spare time Danielle loves to travel, while Adele enjoys days out and bit of retail therapy.
