Following a five-week refurbishment, Specsavers in Cannock will unveil its new look store to customers on Thursday 2 March.
The new state-of-the-art healthcare facility will be open seven days a week, combining the latest clinical technology and retail innovations to provide a highly professional and modern service.
The development has included the addition of a dedicated diabetic screening room, five test rooms and a hearing centre, increasing the range of services available in store. Specsavers has also increased its team to 27, with four new members of staff taking on full and part-time roles.
‘We’re delighted with our new store and can’t wait for our customers to see it when we open the doors on Thursday 2 March,’ said store director, Claire Blandford. ‘Since myself and my business partner, Randeep Singh, took over the running of the store last year, we have been really excited about this relocation.
'It will give us a much more comfortable and modern environment and enables us to add an audiology service to the current optical and diabetic retinopathy services already available, allowing us to serve a larger part of the Cannock community.’
Randeep said: ‘We had a real desire to grow and strengthen the business, and I know that our new facilities will allow our team to work more efficiently, continuing to provide the best quality services to our customers.’
The move coincides with a number of staff service milestones this year, with store manager Jo Roberts celebrating 20 years of service, followed by optical assistants Rebecca Wilkes and Josie Southall who will mark 10 years in Cannock later this year.
Claire added: ‘We’ve got such a dedicated and hard-working team here in Cannock. They have all been fantastic in getting ready for the move as well as welcoming new colleagues. We’re looking forward to getting settled in!’
Specsavers in Cannock will be closed from Sunday 27 February until Thursday 2 March when walk-in appointments will be available. Customers will be able to book appointments in advance from Friday 3 March.
