This Red Nose Day supporters in Cameron Toll can accessorise their red nose with comedy waving hand glasses.
Priced at just £2 and in stores now, all money raised from sales of the specs will be donated to Comic Relief. The glasses come in adult and children’s sizes.
Staff at the Cameron Toll store are challenging themselves to complete a 560 mile run, the distance from the Edinburgh store to Specsavers headquarters in Guernsey, in exchange for donations.
Using a running app, the staff will aim to complete the challenge in March with any additional miles to be ran on a treadmill instore. During their in-store running day, customers can sponsor a member of staff for a one minute run for 50p.
A word from the store director
Craig Selbie, store director at Specsavers in Cameron Toll said: ‘The glasses are fantastic and we’ll be encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media as well.
'Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWave to receive your very own wave back.’
Specsavers in Cameron Toll has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
