A Brownies group will be safer on the roads this winter thanks to the two Specsavers stores in Cambridge.

High visibility jackets

The two stores have donated high-visibility jackets to the 5th Cambridge Brownies group in support of the annual Road Safety Week.

The group will be using their brand new fluorescent vests during the dark winter nights. Specsavers stores across the nation have been supporting road safety charity Brake for the annual Road Safety Week and have been promoting this year’s theme ‘look out for each other’.

Raise awareness

As well as the donation made to the fifth Cambridge Brownies group, the store has also donated to various other local childrens social groups as well as in store donations along with £10 sight test vouchers to raise awareness of road safety and eyecare among the local community.

Visible and safe

Specsavers Cambridge store director, Henry Churchill says: ‘We are really proud to be supporting Road Safety Week again this year. We are determined to do our bit to make the roads in Cambridge safer and the high-visibility jackets are really important in keeping the kids visible and safe when out after dark.'
