December is here and festive Christmas knits will be appearing on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 in Specsavers in Bury St Edmunds.

Christmas charity collection

Staff from the store are donning their festive knits in exchange for donations to charity Save the Children.

Store director Ian Gatley says: ‘Nothing says Christmas more than a fun and festive jumper.

'What better way to support the incredible work that Save the Children does in providing relief and helping support children in developing countries, than to raise a smile from all our customers.’

About Save the Children

The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.

It was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 in order to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts.
