For the second year running, Specsavers in Burton-on-Trent is collecting unwanted school uniform items to help the LoveInspire Foundation which supports local families in need.
The team is asking for donations of items including skirts, shirts, jumpers and trousers which will then be given to local people who might otherwise struggle to afford them. The collection will run until the end of August and clothing can be dropped off in store.
A word from the supervisor
‘Now that the school year is over, it’s the perfect time to sort through any unwanted items that can be re-used by those who need them most,’ said dispensing supervisor, Sam Wheeler. ‘We’ve already had a fantastic response from the local community who have been extremely generous but would appeal to anyone who hasn’t already to see if there’s anything they can donate.’
A good cause
The LoveInspire Foundation was set up by Monica Dunbar in 2016. Its aim is to help families in Burton and the surrounding areas who are struggling with issues such as homelessness, debt and food poverty.
