Locals are being encouraged by Specsavers in Burton to support their charity appeal by donating Easter eggs in store, which will be given to the Love Inspire Foundation – a charity offering help to local families in times of need.
Collection point in-store
The team at Specsavers on the High Street will be acting as a collection point for Easter eggs in the month leading up to Easter (Sunday 1 April). The eggs will be donated to Love Inspire where some will be used for a tombola as part of the charity’s Easter event. The rest will be donated to local families in need who can enjoy them on the day.
'Delighted to support'
Specsavers store director Linda Joyce commented: ‘We are delighted to support Love Inspire again because they do such fantastic work in the local community. The Christmas hamper appeal was a great success – so we hope the people of Burton can get behind us once again for a wonderful cause.
‘We are always looking for ways to give back to our community,’ continued Linda. ‘We hope to collect as many eggs as possible in the coming weeks to help make the Easter period an easier time for families who are facing difficulties.’
About the charity
The Love Inspire Foundation aims to provide relief for those in a crisis, help with debt prevention and planning for the future. As well as relieving poverty, people come back to the charity for weekly meetings as they find it empowering to develop their skills and start recognising there is a way out.
