Specsavers in Burton is ensuring that everyone feels loved this Christmas by donating gift-filled hampers to the Love Inspire Foundation, who are distributing them to families in need of a helping hand over the festive period.
The team is encouraging customers to add an extra item to their weekly shop and drop it off in store. Donations can include chocolates, mince pies, Christmas puddings, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce and similar festive food items.
A word from the store director
‘We’re counting on our local community who have always supported us so well in the past,’ said Burton Specsavers store director, Linda Joyce. ‘Christmas is a time for giving and what better way to do that than providing families with hampers they otherwise wouldn’t receive. If you’d like to get involved, please pop in to Specsavers between now and Christmas to drop any items off.’
The Love Inspire Foundation aims to provide relief for those in a crisis, help with debt prevention and planning for the future. As well as relieving poverty, people come back to the charity for weekly meetings as they find it empowering to develop their skills and start recognising there is a way out.
