The team at Specsavers in Burton-on-Trent has joined forces with the LoveInspire Foundation to help families in need in the local community.
Members of staff are appealing to Burton residents to gather unwanted items of children’s school uniforms and clothing suitable for job interviews and bring them to the store, which is acting as a collection point for the charity.
Dispensing supervisor Sam Wheeler said: ‘The LoveInspire Foundation is a local charity making a difference to the lives of local people. We want to encourage all of our customers to get involved and donate what they can to help out fellow-residents in desperate need.’
Helping local families
Set up by Monica Dunbar in 2016, the LoveInspire Foundation helps families struggling with a range of issues from food poverty, homelessness and debt to searching for jobs, training or practical advice.
The foundation runs from the Burton Caribbean Association in Uxbridge Street.
