Members of staff from Specsavers in Burton-on-Trent are encouraging customers to donate items of school uniforms to help local families in need.
The store is collecting on behalf of the LoveInspire Foundation, a charity set up last year by Monica Dunbar.
Monica’s aim is to help families in Burton and surrounding areas who are struggling with issues such as homelessness, debt and food poverty.
Dispensing supervisor Sam Wheeler said: ‘We’ve already had a fantastic response from our local community and would like to see the donations continue coming in.
'The LoveInspire Foundation is in particular need of children’s school uniforms so if you have any unwanted items, such as shirts, skirts, jumpers or trousers as we approach the end of the school year, we’re acting as a collection point in store.
‘The LoveInspire Foundation is a wonderful charity set up by local people, for local people. We are a community here in Burton and the work this organisation does is making a huge difference to people who are going through a difficult time in life.’
