Specsavers in Burton-on-Trent wants to make sure everyone feels the Christmas spirit this December by donating food-filled hampers to the LoveInspire Foundation.
Staff at Specsavers on the High Street are encouraging customers to pop an extra item in their basket while shopping to drop off in store. Donations can include Christmas treats such as chocolate, mince pies, cranberry sauce and other similar food items.
A word from the store director
‘As this is a charity we’ve supported for a number of years, we’re really hoping the local community will support us again this year,’ said store director, Linda Joyce. ‘Christmas is a time to spend with friends and family and we want to support those who need a little extra help this year. We appreciate any donations so if you have some items that you would like to donate, please pop into the store and drop them off between now and 16 December.’
The LoveInspire Foundation works to provide relief for those who find themselves in a crisis. They also help with debt prevention and planning for the future. As well as relieving poverty, people come back to the charity for weekly meetings as they find it empowering to develop their skills and start recognising there is a way out.
