The Burnley store team were in the spooky spirit this Halloween as they donned their scariest fancy dress and invited customers to take part in a special ‘Name the Witch’ competition.
For a £1 donation to charity Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), customers could pick a name for the witch, waiting with her broomstick at the Charter Walk Shopping Centre store, from a list of 130, with the eventual name then picked at random.
The competition raised a fantastic total of £167 for the charity.
The witch way
Specsavers Burnley’s retail director Mark Addison said: ‘Congratulations to our customer that picked the correct name, Poppy! They won a hamper of goodies and sweeties perfect for ‘trick-or-treating’.
‘Thank you to all our customers that joined us this Halloween and helped raised so much for a great cause. I have to say the staff’s costumes were particularly impressive this year.’
