Burnham Specsavers focused on charity during Armed Forces Week, fundraising £400 for Blind Veterans UK.
With the support of customers who generously donated items for a charity sale, the team at Specsavers sold books, games, clothes and toys in aid of Blind Veterans UK. In total, £400 was raised for the charity, which provides support to blind and vision-impaired ex-servicemen and women.
‘Our charity sale went down really well with customers and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everybody who donated items for us to sell or bought something from us,’ said Rama Venkat, store director at Specsavers Burnham-on-Sea. ‘The sale proved so popular that we extended it for an extra week, helping us to raise £400 which we’re really pleased with.’
