Children across Burgess Hill will be safer this winter thanks to the local Specsavers.
The store has made a donation of high-visibility vests to the Burgess Hill Girl Guides. Members of the group visited the store last week and each received a fluorescent vest which will help them be clearly seen when on group outings.
Specsavers store director, Maggie Johnson says: ‘With such dark mornings and nights, we wanted to play our part in helping the area’s youngsters to keep themselves safe. The Guides were delighted with the vests and we are pleased they are going to a good cause.’
Specsavers has campaigned throughout the past decade to highlight the link between vision and road safety. In addition to its work donating high-visibility vests to schools across the country, Specsavers has toured motor and country shows nationwide, screening drivers’ vision in its Drive Safe campaign trailer.
