Specsavers Brownhills has been recognised for its high standards of health and safety with a prestigious award following a tough inspection.
The store was awarded the coveted Health and Safety Platinum 3 status for its health and safety practices following an annual inspection.
Health and safety champion
Sarah Franks is the store’s health and safety champion and worked tirelessly to ensure the store met all the criteria to secure the Platinum 3 recognition. Sarah began work at Specsavers in 2016 as an apprentice and now, at 22 years old, is a fully fledged optical assistant.
A word from the store director
Store director Justine Page said: ‘This award is a fantastic boost for the team. They’ve all worked hard to establish the practices necessary to achieve this, and Sarah has really gone above and beyond in her role to ensure we ticked all the boxes.’
The accreditation was secured after demonstrating excellence in all areas of health and safety, including alarms, fire safety and equipment used in store.
The platinum award is the highest accolade a Specsavers store can be awarded for health and safety efforts.
Justine added: ‘I want to say a big thank you to every member of staff for ensuring that health and safety regulations are met. We put health and safety at the forefront of all we do and are very happy to be able to display our achievement.’
The award was issued by Santia, the UK’s leading provider of integrated health, safety, environmental and food risk management solutions.
